Ewer c1860
Fabulous ewer with identical scenes either side of the body and wide rim decorated both inside and out. Made by Lockhart & Arthur of the Victoria Pottery, Pollokshaws, Glasgow, Scotland. Backstamp: Hawking Light all over crazing with some blemishes but these are mainly inside and along the line of the handle there is a firing fault. Overall a wonderful piece sounding much worse than it looks.
Dimensions: 2.85 ltr, 23 cm high / 4.75 pint, 9 ins high
