| Maker: Knight Pattern:Geneva Dinner Plate c1846 Made by John King Knight of Fenton, active 1846 to 1853. Large dramatic plate and in centre alovely romantic scene with Swiss overtones, within a geometric and floral border.
The glaze is crazed and there are a couple of very minor glaze blemishes, but a fine plate, which looks virtually perfect on display.
Impressed backstamp of lion and unicorn supporting shield, contains the words Opaque Felspar China with initials KE&Co for Knight Elkin & Co, who preceeded Knight. Blue printed backstamp with lion and unicorn supporting shield with Geneva and J.K.K Dimensions: 27 cm / 10.75
