Made by James Kent of Longton and Fenton and decorated amidst the foliage with two vignettes of romantic rural scenes, rather mid-European in appearance. An extraordinary shape is the only way to describe this jug or pitcher, which manages to combine a sense of Medieval with a hint of Art Deco.
Superb condition with hardly a mark on it.

Teacup and Saucer c1920s
Teacups and saucers are rarely seen in this lovely pattern. Delightful rural scenes either side of the cup and on the saucer. There is light crazing to the cup and the rim and handle are a little worn. It is a slightly steelier blue than the saucer which is in excellent condition.
