Sauce Tureen c1920s
Delightful small lidded octagonal tureen printed in a light grey, complete with stand and ladle. The lid has a lovely ornate finial surrounded by an embossed grape pattern.
Backstamp: Losol Ware, Ormonde, Keeling & Co Ltd, Burslem, England.
The stand has light all over crazing with just a little minor wear. The tureen has a couple of minor blemishes and the ladle has light crazing with a little discolouration. The lid has some very minor blemishes, overall excellent condition. All sounds far worse that it looks!

This is a unique piece! The cover is Ormonde pattern and the base is Bute, both by Keeling & Co in their popular Losol Ware. At some point they have become a marriage, but it is a happy one as they are a perfect fit.
