Comport with Cover c1870
Made by John Thomas Hudden of Longton, this round comport is lovely, with two side grip handles and decorated splay foot. The cover has fine crazng to the glaze and a small rim chip, which occurred in manufacture was glazed over. Slight question mark as to whether this is the original cover, but it fits well. The base is fine, with good clear glaze. Blue printed Asiatic Pheasants cartouche with the initials JTH.
Dimensions: 25 cm diameter 16 cm high / 9.75 ins diameter 6.25 ins high
