Light all over crazing with just a little minor surface scratching and on the back a little minor discolouration and a star hairline which does not go through to the front.

Vegetable Dish c1880
Lovely dish standing on four small feet. Would originally have had a cover.
Backstamp: Asiatic Pheasants H & K.
Some discolouration, but this is mainly underneath and there is a little loss of glaze to the stilt marks.

Bowl c1880
A lovely wide shallow bowl with gadrooned rim. Three pattern cartouches around the outside and full pattern inside.
Backstamp: Asiatic Pheasants H & K.
There is some wear and discolouration to the rim and underneath to the foot. Inside there is some surface scratching and a few blemishes.

Soup Tureen c1890
A lovely lidded tureen with gently moulded detail to the body and to the lid. It stands on four small feet and is printed in a soft blue.
Backstamp: Asiatic Pheasants H & K.
There is a small hairline to the rim and a little very minor discolouration here and there. Inside there is a very small unglazed spot and a little excess clay. Elsewhere the very occasional minor manufacturing blemish.

These are stunning! Printed in a lovely soft blue with barely a scratch to the surface. There is however some light crazing, one has a small rub to the rim, another a small glazing fault in the curve of the plate and another a firing fault to the rim! These however are minor it would be difficult to find finer examples of an Asiatic PHeasant soup plate.

Ewer c1870
Robinson Kirkham & Co of Burslem active 1868 to 1872, preceeded the better known Hollinshead & Kirkham partnership renowned for the quality of their Asiatic Pheasants. Well their quality preceeded them. This ewer is a stunner. The engraving, printing and potting are all superb.
Yet toilet ware in Asiatic Pheasants is relatively rare and this is a special survivor, because it is almost perfect - like new. There is a possible small star hairline on one side, but it does not seem to go through, so may be confined to the glaze. The shine of the glaze, the clarity of the print and the integrity of the potting are all there; quite wonderful.
Typical blue printed cartouche backstamp with initials R K & Co and an impressed W.
