| Maker: Henshall Pattern:The Gleaners Dessert Plate c1823 A delightful rural scene, which makes this a popular design today.
As usual there is no maker's mark, but this pattern is usually attributed to Henshall & Co of Longport, active 1790-1828, because of the impressed date codes that appear, which on this plate is an impressed 9 over 23.
The glaze is very finely crazed, almost imperceptibly so, but otherwise in superb condition. Dimensions: 21.5 cm / 8.5 ins

| Maker: Henshall Pattern:The Gleaners Dinner Plate c1824 A delightful rural scene, which makes this a popular design today.
As usual there is no maker's mark, but this pattern is usually attributed to Henshall & Co of Longport, active 1790-1828, because of the impressed date codes that appear, which on this plate is an impressed 4 over 24.
The glaze of this plate is crazed with associated discolouration. There are three stilt marks on the border and a couple of very small glazing blemishes and on the back a possible short hairline, although it does not appear to go through. The glaze is still bright and shines almost like new. Dimensions: 25 cm / 9.75 ins
