A fantastic plate with convex rim, printed in a rich dark blue with pierced foot rim on the back. Surrounding the central portrait of William Shakespeare are six small cartouches featuring Ann Hathaway's Cottage, Stratford on Avon, Church Where Buried, Memorial Theatre and Shakespeare's House. Backstamp: Shakespeare Opaque China SH&S and registered number. Light crazing otherwise excellent condition.
