Lovely plate printed in a rich dark blue, with the foot rim on the back pierced for hanging. The border is a collection of pattern vignettes showing the Birthplace of Robert Burns, Burns Monument Alloway, Interior of Burns Cottage, The Cotters Saturday Night, The Brigs of Ayr and Tam O'Shanter. Backstamp: Burns Opaque China S H & S England Rd No 464149. Crazed although this is mainly noticeable on the back. Also on the back just a little very minor pitting.

Wall Plate c1905
A fantastic plate with convex rim printed in a rich dark blue and on the back a pierced foot rim. Surrounding the central portrait of Robert Burns are six small cartouches featuring Burns Momument Alloway, Interior of Burns Cottage, The Cottage Saturday Night, The Brigs of Ayr, Tam o'Shanter and Birthplace of Robert Burns. Backstamp: Burns Opaque China SH&S and registered number. A little minor wear to the outer rim, otherwise excellent condition.
