Maker: Hackwood  Pattern:Waterfall
Dinner Plate c1825
Attributed to William Hackwood of Eastwood Pottery, Hanley, active 1807 to 1843. The pattern name is a given one and it is also known as Falls of Killarney and Ross Castle. Killarney is indeed home to waterfalls and Ross Castle, so this may be an artist's impression of a view of Killarney or it may be a purely fanciful scene. Some rubbing and wear on the outside of the rim, but the face is bright and clean and really lovely condition. Impressed H on back.
Dimensions: 25.5 cm / 10 ins
