Dinner Plate c1835
This plate is attributed to Thomas Goodfellow of Phoenix Works, Tunstall, Staffordshire active 1828-59, although Thomas Godwin of Burslem, Staffordshire active 1834-1854 is another possibility. Charming Swiss scene in a design reminiscent of Minton's Genevese. Pretty moulded and beaded border and overall finely potted and printed. Excellent condition. Blue printed cartouche backstamp incorporating Lucerne and with G Opaque China beneath.
