Warming Dish c1840
The base of this dish is hollow to hold hot water and would originally have had a ceramic covered cork stopper. This is quite a substantial multi sided piece with full pattern on the top and three pattern vignettes around the outside. Backstamp: Alleghany T Goodfellow Ironstone. Crazed with a little wear to the stopper opening and underneath a little minor wear to the foot, overall excellent condition.
Dimensions: 26.5 cm across, 6.5 cm deep / 10.5 ins across, 2.5 ins deep
