Thomas Godwin. A most ornate stand and is a lovely piece on its own. Backstamp Medina T.G A little minor discolouration to the outer rim otherwise excellent condition.

Dinner Plate c1840
Unusually large dinner plate with pretty indented rim and decorated with the romantic Medina pattern, named after the second Holy City of Medina in Saudi Arabia. Blue printed mark MEDINA TG for Thomas Godwin of Burslem, Staffs. 1834-1854. Some crazing but lovely bright condition.

Toilet Box c1845
Lovely scene on this box - three figures in the foreground with rather palatial tents and buildings behind. The base has pretty floral decoration around the body with the full pattern inside to the base. There is a small very minor firing crack to one of the divides inside and a laittle light crazing and minor signs of wear otherwise fine. The cover has a very pretty moulded handle which has a tiny firing crack where it joins. It has light crazing and three very small under rim chips to the rim and inside rim, not noticeable when it is in situ'. Overall a really attractive box. No makers marks but we are attributing this to Thomas Godwin.
