Teabowl c1825
Gorgeous little bowl with delightful riverside scene either side of the body. Inside there is a lovely floral border around the rim and to the base a small vignette of the cattle drover with his cow. This pattern has been attributed to Baker, Bevans & Irwin of the Glamorgan Pottery, Swansea. No backstamp. Light all over crazing with a little minor discolouration. A little wear and tiny horizontal hairline to the top rim and a small vertical hairline of approximately 1". Underneath A little discoloruation to the foot and a very small chip. All sounds much worse than it looks, this is a delightful little bowl. Provenance: Edna Bizon Collection
Dimensions: 9 cm diameter, 5.5 cm deep / 3.5 ins diameter, 2.25 ins deep
