Maker: Dimmock  Pattern:Tasmania colour
Comport c1845
Any literal connection with Tasmania and this design seems slight. An attractive oriental scene in the Imari palette on a pretty small serving dish or comport. Made by Thomas Dimmock of Hanley, active 1828 to 1859. Backstamp: Impressed Pearl Ware curved over the Dimmock monogram and printed cartouche with Tasmania and Stone Ware over. Pattern number 1/3731 in red script. A little wear and few signs of use, but in excellent condition overall.
Dimensions: 29 x 23 cm & 6 cm high / 11.25 x 9 ins & 2.5 ins high
