Pattern number 72 in Davenport's fine Stone China series, which does not appear to have a name. Delicate gossamer-like printed design with hand painted colour, including two Asian birds, in lovely old tones. Moulding and colour to rims, with amazing faux bois and vine handles, with added gilt decoration.
All three pieces in superb condition with little wear or signs of use. A magnificent, aristocratic Stone China soup tureen by one of the best makers.
