Maker: Davenport  Pattern:Montilla
Meat Dish or Platter c1864
Oval platter in this popular Davenport pattern. It is crazed with some associated staining, mainly on the back although there is a small area on the face, and there is some smudging of the transfer and wear to the rim. Impressed Davenport over the anchor and date for 1864.
Dimensions: 33.5 cm x 28.5 cm / 13 ins x 11 ins
Maker: Davenport  Pattern:Montilla
Meat Dish or Platter c1880
Large oval meat dish in good condition. There is a small manufacturing chip on the rim, which glazed and decorated over. Four tiny flakes of glaze off the rim and a small old chip behind the rim. The glaze is finely crazed, but the platter is bright and clean. Impressed backstamp Davenport curved over anchor and impressed date mark for April 1880.
Dimensions: 49.5 x 42 cm / 19.5 x 16.5 ins

Meat Dish or Platter c1865
Davenport also produced this design in grey, but here it is lovely shades of true blue. There is very fine crazing to the glaze, which is only noticeable on close inspection. In excellent condition, with only a few signs of use, and about as perfect as it could be. Impressed backstamp of Davenport curved over anchor, impressed date mark for December 1865 and 18.
Dimensions: 48.5 x 40.5 cm / 19 x 16 ins
Maker: Davenport  Pattern:Montilla
Vegetable Dish with Cover c1865
This circular dish has triangular divisions inside. A most unusual piece, certainly a talking point, if not unique. Both dish and cover are in extremely good condition, there are a few stress signs around the divider where it joins the dish. These would have been caused during the firing. Not marked, but we are confident about our attribution to Davenport and their Montilla pattern, which is a romantic scene. Montilla is a town in Spain, which gives its name to Amontillado sherry.
Dimensions: 26.5 cm d 12.5 cm h / 10.5 ins d 4.75 ins h
Maker: Davenport  Pattern:Montilla
Cheese Stand c1840
Lovely large stand. Not marked but this pattern is attributed to Davenport. There is some surface scratching and generally a few signs of wear, mainly to the rim, but it is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 30.5 cm diameter, 7.5 cm high / 12 ins diameter, 3 ins high
Maker: Davenport  Pattern:Montilla
Sponge Dish c1868
This is lovely! Two pieces the dish and strainer the latter having pattern on both sides. There is a little wear around the rim of the dish and just a touch to the strainer but overall excellent condition and still shines like new! Impressed Davenport over an anchor and impressed date for August 1868.
Dimensions: 20 cm diameter, 9 cm high / 7.75 ins diameter, 3.5 ins high
