Maker: Davenport  Pattern:Bridgeless Chinoiserie

This pattern is particularly associated with Davenport and Minton, although it was made by several makers and is also known as Hermit and Man in Doorway. This is a fine example of the pattern made by Davenport. There is no maker's backstamp, but Davenport's version is distinctive as it has no inner border decoration, as here. Excellent condition

Dinner Plate c1815
This pattern is particularly associated with Davenport and Minton, although it was made by several makers and is also known as Hermit and Man in Doorway. This is a fine example of the pattern made by Davenport. There is no maker's backstamp, but Davenport's version is distinctive as it has no inner border decoration, as here. The glaze is finely crazed and there is one small rub and a small nick to the rim but overall superb condition.
