Warming Dish c1860s
A warming dish in Asiatic Pheasants is extremely rare. The dish is hollow and was filled with hot water to keep warm the food sitting on the top. In the border there is a filling hole for the water, which is clearly visible in the photograph on the right and an ancient cork comes with the plate as a bung for the hole. The glaze is finely crazed and this has taken up some staining along the craze lines, but overall it is bright. There is an under rim chip.

Meat Dish or Platter with tree and well c1880
Large wavy rim dish with tree and well. Light all over crazing and some light associated staining, however the surface is barely scratched. Small stress crack to the inside of the foot on the back. Blue printed and impressed marks for Edge Malkin.

Meat Dish or Platter with tree and well
Lovely large wavy rim platter with tree and well. It is crazed with some staining but has virtually no scratch marks so is still bright and shiny.

Soup Tureen c1880
This is a really attractive tureen standing on four small feet, with gently moulded body and two ornate side handles. There is a small brown mark at the base of the tureen which appears to be under the glaze and a very small possibly manufacturing rub to the rim otherwise the tureen and cover are in superb condition. The ladle on the other hand has seen life and may possibly not be the original one. It is crazed, the rim of the bowl shows signs of wear and there are one or two glazing blemishes. It has the border pattern around the outside of the bowl and full pattern and border pattern inside. There is lovely flower detail along the line of the stem and actualy the part which shows when the cover of the tureen in situ looks absolutely fine. All in all a truly lovely set. Sauce Tureen Stand c1880
Lovely piece in its own right with moulded side handles. Fine crazing with patches of light staining. Impressed and blue printed marks for Edge Malkin.

Sauce Boat c1880
This is an unusual shape for an Asiatic Pheasants sauce boat. A couple of minor marks to two of the feet which appear to be under the glaze otherwise in excellent condition. Very ornate handle. Blue printed mark for Edge Malkin of a greyhound above banner.

Lovely little "top hat" pot. Continual pattern around the body with border decoration to the rim. The latter is a little smudged. A few minor signs of wear to the rim otherwise excellent
