| Maker: Chetham and Robinson Pattern:Terni Series Soup Tureen c1830 View from the Lake Como is the scene on the stand, with different scenes on the tureen and lid, all from the Terni series of views. Terni is a town in Umbria, Italy. This series is by Chetham and Robinson, rather than the non-existent Chesworth & Robinson cited by some authorities.
The lid has a fine stress crack or line of crazing, where the finial joins the lid, but very minor. The tureen has a number of small chips round the inner rim or flange, but these are covered when the lid is in place. The stand has some fine crazing to the glaze with a small patch of light staining. All minor as overall in excellent condition and a dramatic and attractive ensemble.
