Delightful English rural scene with lady and son seated by a tree and talking to standing gentleman, with lake and mansion beyond. Backstamp: blue printed large Staffordshire knot with Warranted and C&R. The glaze is finely crazed. Few signs of use and wear, but nothing of note, as overall this is in excellent condition. Lovely example. Has a combed back.

Made by Chetham and Robinson of Commerce Street, Longton, Staffordshire, active 1822 to 1837. Delightful country scene with mansion set amidst hills and stretch of water, with man, woman and child in foreground, beside tall tree and grassy outcrop. Backstamp: Warranted C & R. Light crazing with a little minor wear to the outer rim and on the back.
