After William and Rosemary Dorling saved the Burgess & Leigh pottery in 1999, they began exploring expansion of the range in various ways, including different colourways for long-standing patterns. This plate is a sample piece from Burleigh, which was gifted to us by the Dorlings in the early 2000s and since then has formed part of our private museum. This colourway was never introduced into regular production. No backstamp. Excellent condition.
