Burleigh. With gilt. A very attractive pot. Crazed with some associated staining. A little wear to the gilt and just a couple of really minor nicks to the foot rim. Green printed Burleigh mark and pattern No. 3018 in script.

With gilt. Very pretty pair of hexagonal vases. Shape 42 in a 1927 Burgess and Leigh catalogue. Both vases have a little wear to the gilt and some discolouration inside but fine on the outside. A really lovely pair of finely potted vases.

Ewer c1892
Made by Burgess & Leigh of Burslem, who registered both the shape of ewer and the floral design. The shape they called New Venetian and the floral pattern was produced in a number of different colour ways, each with its own pattern number. This is stunning ewer, with superb large floral decoration to the body and smaller flower border around the long elegant neck. Unusual shell like decoration in between the curves of the rim, and just to finish this lovely piece off an ornate scroll handle.
Impressed registration number 187088 for the shape and printed registration number for 188255 for the pattern, both for 1892. The 187088 is either incorrect or a misreading as that is for a textile design. 188255 was registered on 24 February 1892.

Vases Pair c1920s
With gilt. Gorgeous vases with colourful bird pattern either side.

Crazed and the gilt is quite worn. One vase has a tiny manufacturing chip to the rim which has been glazed over and there is thin glaze to the neck and shoulder, making the blue appear a little grey. Sounds much worse than it looks, these are lovely vases.

Sauce Tureen c1880
With gilt. Pretty little flow blue tureen complete with stand and ladle. Steely blue/grey printed under the glaze with hand applied colour to the flowers and deep turquoise rim. All pieces (except ladle) have fine crazing with some light associated staining inside the tureen. The ladle has pattern to the top half of the stem and the turquoise border pattern around the rim of the bowl. The ladle has a little minor discolouration to the stem. A very pretty set.

Cress Dish and Stand c1930s
This is a delightful and unusual dish and stand. Blue printed under the glaze with the dish having the pattern hand applied with enamel colour. Gorgeous colours and well executed with lovely expressions on the birds faces! Both pieces have light fine crazing to the glaze, and the dish has discolouration around the three feet underneath which shows through slightly to the upper side.

Burleigh. A very pretty hexagonal vase. Hand painted floral decoration on a printed muted blue and white floral background. Once with gilt rims but the gilt is now almost completely worn away. Light crazing to the glaze and inside to the base there a pretty scary firing crack, but this does not go through at all.
