Teapot c1915
A fabulous shape of pot, for which the design was registered in 1886 and appears in a Burleigh catalogue in 1893 as shape 2079 and was still in production in 1918. It is not a typical shape decorated in Chinese Peacock, as teapots are generally Cranbourne or Globe shape. The pattern was introduced as Chinese Peacock in 1913, then much later renamed as Blue Bird and now in production as Regal Peacock.
Backstamp: blue printed B & L Burleigh Ware Burslem England and impressed pad Rd 48812 for the shape registered 1886.
There is a little minor wear to the pot mainly to the inner rim, bottom tip of spout and handle otherwise excellent condition. Overall almost as new.

The stand has light crazing overall excellent condition. The teapot also has crazing with some discolouration mainly around the lower part of the body. The lid also has a couple of hairlines to the inner rim. Overall a lovely set but for display only.

This is an absolutely fabulous set of four stemmed egg cups in an ornate stand.

Crazed with some discolouration underneath the stand and to a couple of the cups. Another cup has some amateur restoration to the foot (not noticeable when the cup is in situ'). Overall a rare and unusual set.
