Dessert Plate c1890
Grecian Statue was introduced about 1840, but was also made in the 1890s. The printing plates for this design were bought by W T Copleand in 1900. This plate is printed in really deep flow blue with delicate gilt highlights and gilt line to rim. Impressed backstamp for Brownfield & Sons and blue printed Brownfields garter mark with Grecian Statute, England. The glaze is finely crazed and one plate has a tiny nick to the rim. Little wear to the gilt, but really lovely design and bright and clean.

Meat Dish or Platter c1840
This is an absolutely huge and delightful platter printed in light shades of grey. Backstamp: Grecian Statue W & B Stoneware. Some surface scratching otherwise excellent condition.
