Pie dishes in Asiatic Pheasants rarely survive today and this is the largest size we have ever seen. A game pie made in this would satisfy the largest Victorian family.
Comprehensively decorated inside plus four generous vignettes on the outside. There are a few glaze blemishes and the glaze is lightly crazed. There is a discreet hairline to the rim, but this dish looks perfect on display. It is an absolutely magnificent item, which today would look as at home in the dining room as the kitchen.

There are a few minor stress marks from the firing and the odd glaze blemish, but this is as near perfect as you could find. It is an absolutely magnificent item, which today would look as at home in the dining room as the kitchen.

Sauce Tureen c1900
The pretty shape and small proportions ensure these sauce tureens are lovely decorative items for display today.
It is always difficult to be sure that the cover and base started life together, but these are a good match.
The cover has fine crazing to the glaze and a little light staining, but nothing of note. The tureen is fine and overall this is in excellent condition.
