Jug or Pitcher c1860
Made by J & MP Bell & Co. of Glasgow, Scotland. Lovely 12 sided panelled shape jug in Bell's typical chunky style. It is almost large enough to qualify as an ewer.
The glaze is finely crazed, with a small area of light staining. There is a firing fault at the base of the handle, which occurred during manufacture. There is a discrete hairline running down from the rim for about 1". Near the base is a short line in the glaze that does not go through to the inside. That is the detailed description! It is actually a rather fine jug in good condition.

The glaze is sound and this platter is bright and clean. However, there is a chip on the rim at 5 o'clock. It measures 0.5 x 0.25 ins.

It has light all over crazing to the glaze and there is wear and a couple of tiny firing cracks to the outer rim. There is a little discolouration to the stilt marks but overall a lovely dish.

Delightful small footed bowl. There is a very very small minor manufacturing chip to the inner rim, which has been glazed over, and a small rub inside otherwise excellent condition. Blue printed eagle mark (very blurred!)

Made by J & MP Bell and Co. of Glasgow, Scotland. Round comport with ornate moulded side handles, which may have had a cover originally, but is so beautifully patterned that it is equally as attractive on its own.

Light all over crazing and there is a tiny hairline and some wear and discolouration to the outer rim. Overall a lovely piece.

It has light all over crazing with a just little minor discolouration to the foot. The foot also has a very minor firing fault otherwise fine a lovely piece. Beautifully patterned both inside and out.

J & MP Bell Glasgow. This is absolutely gorgeous! A round tureen with gently moulded body rising to a wavy rim and standing on a shaped decorated foot. It has just a touch of crazing here and there is a very small chip to the inside rim not noticeable when the cover is in situ'. Not marked but definitely J & MP Bell.
