Dessert Dish c1820
Lovely dish, gently shaped with an attractive moulded side handle. The scene depicts the Bridge of Lucano in Italy and is believed to have been derived from an engraving in Merigot's Views of Rome and its Vicinity. In excellent condition with light crazing to the glaze. Blue printed backstamp of a crown within laurel leaves and a ribbon with the words Bridge of Lucano Italy, which is believed to have been used by Bathwell & Goodfellow.

Soup Tureen Stand c1820
This is beautiful. An oval stand with ornate side handles and printed in a lovely soft blue. Backstamp: Bridge of Lucano. Light crazing, with a little wear on the back and a little to the outer rim, overall excellent condition. A joy to behold!

Dinner Plate c1820
The scene depicts the Bridge of Lucano in Italy and is believed to have been derived from an engraving in Merigot's Views of Rome and its Vicinity. Blue printed backstamp of a crown within laurel leaves and a ribbon with the words Bridge of Lucano Italy, which is believed to have been used by Bathwell & Goodfellow, who were active at Upper House Works, Burslem 1818-1823 and Tunstall 1829-1822. Provenance: The personal collection of Gresham Copeland, passing by descent to his son Robert Copeland. Collection identification label on back AGC 452. The glaze is finely crazed, with just a hint of associated staining in places, mainly visible on the back. Generally good condition though.

Blue printed backstamp of a crown within laurel leaves and a ribbon with the words Bridge of Lucano Italy, which is believed to have been used by Bathwell & Goodfellow, who were active at Upper House Works, Burslem 1818-1823 and Tunstall 1829-1822. There is also DONOVAN for James Donovan the glass and china merchant and decorator, who had premises at George's Quay, Dublin, Ireland from 1770 to 1829. Provenance: The personal collection of Gresham Copeland, passing by descent to his son Robert Copeland. Collection identification label on back AGC 549. Glaze generally sound, few lines of crazing and utensil marks. This is a fine plate in excellent condition, with the added rarity of the DONOVAN mark.

The glaze is crazed with just a hint of discolouration and a little wear around the outer rim. The surface has a little minor scratching but overall this is a lovely plate and still shines like new! Blue printed backstamp of a crown within laurel leaves and a ribbon with the words Bridge of Lucano Italy, which is believed to have been used by Bathwell & Goodfellow.

Rimmed soup plate in this lovely pattern with wheat and grapevine border. Backstamp: Bridge of Lucano. A little surface scratching with some wear and loss of glaze to the outer rim and on the back under the rim.
