Plate c1860
This flow blue pattern was made first by Cotton and Barlow of Coronation Works, Commerce Street, Longton, active 1850 to 1857 and continued by Thomas Waterhouse Barlow, who traded in his sole name from 1857 to 1880, at which latter date his son joined the partnership. Wonderful plate in a rich dark flow blue. If you like your blue to have flowed this is one for you. Backstamp: blue printed cartouche containing Maltese with TWB beneath. Crazed with a little surface scratching and a little loss of glaze to the stilt marks.
